Wahoo was an underwater nuclear test conducted on May 16, 1958, at Enewetak Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Detonated at a depth of approximately 500 feet (150 m), the test produced a massive water plume and provided critical data on the effects of underwater nuclear explosions on naval vessels and maritime operations.
